I started as a receptionist at a salon when I was 15 years old. My mom owned a salon as I was growing up, and I’ve been interested in hair since I was four years old. Sounds crazy to start at such a young age but I was so infatuated with how you could change up your vibe with just your hair. It has the ability to showcase what the person’s personality was like without saying anything at all. It can compliment their outfit, and their features, and just totally shift the vibe. I took the leap to go to move back home in 2019 to Portland, OR at 22 and enroll in Cosmetology school. I gave it my all and here we are today. In 2022, I opened Selfcare Collective in Fairbanks, AK. I can honestly say, I am exactly where I need to be and love this industry.
